Why do you blog? That is an important question that you must know the answer to to be a successful blogger. That does not mean you have to be a pro blogger to be successful but to be someone who blogs with passion and intent. If you do not know why you blog then you need to answer that question before you go any further. Is it to help people? Is it to make people laugh? Whatever the reason you must stay true to yourself each time you write and publish a post.

In 2013 Hannah decided she would blog daily for a whole year. She learnt many lessons over that time and it helped her to become the fantastic blogger she is today. She noticed though, that in that time she didn’t always write successful posts, some were below average. However, she knew that to become an established writer you need practice and so even the duff posts brought her closer to that goal.

So, if you love blogging and you know the path you wish to take, then here are 6 reasons why you should embrace that passion every single day!

 6 Reasons to blog daily

10,000 hours

If you want to become the best of the best then you need practice. Even if you don’t want to become a pro blogger you will want to be taken seriously by your peers won’t you?

If you can get into a routine then you will train your brain to work in a particular way. You will become attuned to your skill and become more productive when you sit down to write.

  • prevent procrastination
  • make you more productive
  • prevents perfectionist tendencies

The more you write the more your personality will shine through. You may start blogging in one style but after a while you will find that you develop your own style- in your voice. People love to get to know someone, let your readers in and they will come back again and again.

Learning curve

When you first start blogging you won’t be amazing, it takes time!  If you take blogging slowly then your learning will be slow- push yourself and you will surprise yourself how quickly you can pick things up!

Trial and Error

Until you give something a go you will not know whether it will be successful. Sometimes a post you are sure will do well can turn out to be a flop! It will be one that you wrote off the cuff that does well. The more you write, the more in tune you will be with your readers!

The more you write the more you will be seen (assuming you publicise your posts). So, if you want to have more traffic then you need to keep writing those posts! The more traffic you get the better equipped you will be to approach brands and pr companies, plain and simple. Of course once you have built up an audience you will be able to wind it back a bit, but in the beginning you need to get your name out there!
