Dallas and DFW

Heading to Dallas at the crack of dawn Monday for a couple of days. This is just a quick two night trip to attend a conference in downtown Dallas.

I think I may be in the minority when I say I love the Dallas airport. Yes, DFW may be a gigantic sprawl of an airport but it’s full of restaurants, shops, bars and other good diversions for the traveler. Having long layovers here can be a pleasure.

The bigger issue people struggle with is learning the lay of the land. You’ve got four terminals shaped like crescents connected by walkways and an elevated tram connecting them all together. You can move between the terminals in minutes. I always recommend if you’ve a long layover head to the D terminal where you’ll find newer shops and some great restaurants.

So, the next time you’re at DFW take a deep breath, grab a glass of wine and enjoy!
