Fall vacation is in the works!

Looks like it is Austria in the fall. Just booked airfare yesterday to fly into Salzburg and return from Vienna. Why so early? Well, rates were pretty good and the wait list of upgrades is all about when you get in the queue.

Luckily the upgrades were available and confirmed to Austria, but we’re on the list for the long flight between London and Los Angeles. It’s also on one of American Airlines new reconfigured 777-300s. In and of itself, that to me is pretty exciting! Now, it’s the waiting game to upgrade from coach into the huge and beautiful business class cabin. Fingers crossed!

So, what’s the agenda look like? We’ll fly into Salzburg and stay three nights then pick up a rental car and visit Hallstatt in the Lake District. Then the Wachau Valley where we’ll visit Melk and Krems. Final stop will be a three night stay in Vienna.  I just love planning vacations!
